Artists working with media technology often include specialists from various different
scientific fields in their art creation process. The criteria used to select their
collaborators are based on the artistic concept or idea, which might often appear
obscure or odd according to scientific objectives. In this part of my investigation
several cases will be analyzed regarding the working methods, the motivation and
objectives of the makers. Although media artists working in the field of information
and communication technology have much in common with scientists working in this
field, there are more differences then similarities.
