Doris Denekamp and Geert van Mil are Rotterdam-based visual artists whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. In 2011, they founded Informal Strategies, a flexible structure in which artists, writers and designers collaborate on research-based projects. Their installations, films and performances are based on the methodology of montage and demontage. Through this methodology, they deconstruct existing historical narratives and reconstruct them into new constellations. By including dissonant and dissident voices in these new histories, Informal Strategies aims to capture the complexity of our globalized reality.
