Educated as an architect at the Technical
University of Delft, Charlot Boonekamp believes the world requires more
socially and environmentally orientated spatial designers, focusing on the need
of present and future generations of users. Temporariness, Identity, Equality, Integrity and Sustainability are key
words describing the work of Charlot, covering spatial and product design, research,
photography and drawing.
Having worked with several marginalized
communities in Brasil, India and the Palestinian Territories to analyze and
improve housing conditions, Charlot learned that only by working together real
changes can be made. As such, she joined in 2014 the Better Future Factory and
is currently involved in projects in the Netherlands, Peru and Angola.
