Kees Christiaanse, architect, lecturer and researcher, got his degree in architecture at the Technical University in Delft in 1988. He worked at Rem Koolhaas’ Office for Metropolitan architecture (OMA) from 1980 to 1989, where he became partner in 1983. In 1989 he founded the Kees Christiaanse Architects and Planners (KCAP) in Rotterdam and co-founded ASTOC in Cologne. He has been a professor of architecture and urbanism at the Technische Universität Berlin since 1996. His work mainly focuses on the interface of architecture and urbanism.
