Koert van Mensvoort (NL) investigates the strange and beautiful: he writes about what he calls "Next Nature".

Koert van Mensvoort is many things: artist, scientist, designer, speaker, inventor, filmmaker, doctor, blogger, writer or whatever.
These day, he is all about "Next Nature", the nature caused by human culture.
Director of the All-Media foundation (with Mieke Gerritzen), whose goal is to research and visualize current cultural issues; and organizer of the Biggest Visual Power Show, a kind of a pop conference.
Two of his works are the Datafountain (money translated to water) and his essay Real Nature is not Green.
Koert van Mensvoort studied computer science, philosophy and art; worked as a teacher at the Sandberg Institute (2002-2006) and as a Visionary in Residence at Art Center College of Design (2008); and is Assistant Professor at the Industrial Design Department of the Eindhoven University of Technology.
He (co-)authored the publications Next Nature Pocket (2005), Entry Paradise – New Worlds of Design (2006), and Artvertising (2007).
