Born in Bulgaria, Lucy Milanova studied German philology at the University in Sofia, and then obtained a M.A. in Theater, Film and Television Sciences at the University of Cologne. She is concluding her Postgraduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in 2011.
She worked as a music journalist for Radio in 2007, and as freelancer in digital media in 2008. She directed the documentary Punkt im Fluss (2005), the commercial spot Kickerliebe (2010), the social spot Der Vertretungslehrer (2010) and the feature film Marspforten (2010). Art projects include the video installation Paper, Line & Light (with Adrián Villa) 2010), the installation Playing the image (2010), the fotoproject Unbalanced (2011-) and the light installation Solid Light (2011-).
Lucy Milanova (Groove Attack) has been DJ-ing since 2001 in Cologne. She organizes her own parties, and founded a radio program for electronic music. In her DJ-performances she mixes disco dub with house and electronic music.
