McKenzie Wark grew up and studied in Australia, at Macquarie University, the University of Technology, Sydney and at the Murdoch University. In 2000, he emigrated to the US.
is Professor of Culture and Media at the New School in New York and is known
for his writings on media theory, critical theory, new media, and the
Situationist International. His best-known works are A Hacker Manifesto
(2004) and Gamer
(2007). McKenzie Wark is the author, most recently, of Molecular Red: Theory for the Anthropocene
