Susanne Winnacker received her PhD from the Department of Theatre, Film,
and Media Studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University. She is a
curator, writer, and dramaturge and specializes in contemporary
experimental theatre and dance theory, contemporary political
performance, Bertolt Brecht, and 19th- and 20th-century acting theories. She is currently responsible for the artistic development policy and
dramaturgy at DasArts in Amsterdam, the only postgraduate program for
theatre and dance in Europe.
In 2012, she was appointed Rector at the HMT Rostock, the University of Music and Theater.
