Tom Schouten

Tom Schouten (BE) is an artist-programmer.

Tom Schouten is an artist/programmer based in Leuven, Belgium. His main interest are in the interplay of software and art, more specifically the boundaries of structure and chaos for generating and manipulating sound and image.

He explores these boundaries by using and writing extensions to open source media processing frameworks, mostly Pure Data. This software is then used to create interactive instruments living on the boundary of controlability, having a mind of their own.
