Interruption is about the relationship between everyday
reality and the fantasies we project onto it. Clayton and Costabile
perform laying down, with a video camera and a microphone close to
their faces. The sound and images picked up by the microphones and
cameras control a custom-built system. The interaction that takes place
between the live story and a pre-recorded story that is played back
simultaneously is the basis for exploring the issue of 'interruption'.
The actions and verbal expressions of the artists control what is
displayed on the projection screens.
