The exhibition presents recent interactive art that addresses the issue of archives and databases in an ingenious, witty and also confronting way, while highlighting the role and increasing importance of information in our knowledge society. On the one hand, we, as individuals, are being bombarded with streams of information that are "out of control" and tend to confuse rather than enlighten us, while on the other hand these streams of information are heralded as the great providers of knowledge. Visitors to the exhibition can interact with these artworks at several levels by changing and manipulating them. In this way they can use the databases and archives these artworks deploy, to generate experiences and images of a world that is forcing itself upon us as increasingly complex and global but which at the same time is more and more local.

Tamás Szakáls installation "Phonic Frequencies" was taken out of the exhibition due to unforeseen technical problems.
