A lecture which centered on designing in architecture and industry. Especially the motives for design were given attention. Using a series of slides, the audience could see how economic and mechanical production and methods of transport determine design. Diller posed a design (for example ironing shirts) in which human movement and the human body are determining factors.

Een lezing waarin het ontwerpen en vormgeven in architectuur en industrie centraal stond. Vooral de motieven voor het vormgeven kreeg de aandacht. Aan de hand van diareeksen kreeg men te zien hoe bepalend economische of machinale produktie en transportmethoden zijn in het bepalen van een design. Diller poneerde een design (bijv. het strijken van overhemden) waarin de menselijke beweging en het menselijke lichaam als bepalende factoren werden ingezet.
