On 17 October 1992, Raaijmakers performed a musical and theater piece entitled Intona: dodici manieri di far tacere un microfono (twelve ways to make a microphone shut up). This piece was realized in collaboration with Consort (Amsterdam). Through it, Raaijmakers made indirect statements about specific technologies by dissecting the 12 microphones; especially about reproduction techniques in new media, and about the microphone in particular.
