Roel Roscam Abbing and Dennis de Bel have organised an expert work session to further develop Meshenger. The meetup takes place from 3 - 8 November at the
V2_Lab in Rotterdam.
The event is for invited participants only.
Meshenger is a software prototype for wireless electronic communications. Its main aim is to investigate whether it is possible to pose radical alternatives to existing communications technologies while using the same tools and protocols. As a consequence Meshenger is designed to be non-hierarchical, decentralized and unpredictable, as it is aimed at working with unstable infrastructures.
Whereas previous meetings focused on production of the software this current event is aimed at imagining and prototyping various use cases, objects and visual materials for Meshenger.
This Meshenger Meetup is organised as a part of a year-long research into speculative communication networks by Dennis de Bel and Roel Roscam Abbing. Previous gatherings and workshops were held in the LAG hacklab in Amsterdam and AMRO Festival in Linz.
