In this workshop, you will be introduced to corpse decompiculture by learning to grow edible mushrooms on your own discarded body tissue (hair/skin/nails) using simple, DIY materials at home.

Decompiculture: the practice of cultivating decomposing organisms. Coined by Canadian entomologist Timothy Myles, the term encompasses a wide range of activities, from composting to biomethane production.

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to corpse decompiculture by learning to grow edible mushrooms on their own discarded body tissue (hair/skin/nails) at home using simple, DIY materials. Participants will leave the workshop with their own petri dishes and mushroom jars for continuing the growing process at home.

The workshop is led by Jae Rhim Lee.
