Wiretap 6.11

19
Nov 2000
14:00 to 17:00
location: Lantaren 1, Gouvernestraat 133

Traditionally theatre, dance and film production have been concerned with the movement of the body in a specific space. When the laws of gravity are defied, movement in space comes to mean something completely new and different. Earth-bound theatrical, cinematic and choreographical conventions are challenged and allow for a new aesthetics of weightlessness. Several artists are experimenting with Zero Gravity, enabled by French and Russian aeroplanes taking the artistic crews on parabolic flights. The Wiretap program brought together the pioneers of artistic Zero G research, who presented their work and research results, and shared their sublime, funny and weird experiences.

This Wiretap was supported by: Alliance Française, Institut Français des Pays-Bas, Cultural Affairs, City of Rotterdam; Rotterdamse Kunststichting; Ministry of Education Culture and Science; Stichting Bevordering van Volkskracht; and Luna Internet.

Nederlands
