Futuro Textiles

The Intimacy project by Studio Roosegaarde, Maartje Dijkstra, Anouk Wipprecht and V2_Lab is the main feature of the traveling exhibition "Futuro Textiles" that combines science, technology and art on textiles.

Dutch Artist Daan Roosegaarde is invited to show the Intimacy dresses, developed with fashion designers Maartje Dijkstra, Anouk Wipprecht and V2_Lab, at the traveling exhibition Futuro Textiles

The objects, applications and works presented in Futuro Textiles are inspired by the craziest of dreams and invent today tomorrow’s dreams. After the success of the Futuro Textiles exhibitions at the Tri Postal in Lille (France) in 2006, in Istanbul (Turkey) in September 2007, and Futurotextiel 08 presented in autumn 2008 in Courtrai (Belgium), the mobile module has begun its international tour in order to present a large selection of these concrete visions of tomorrow’s textiles which alter our relationships with the world, our environment and ourselves.
This exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to discover the world of textiles: scientific and technological, the exhibition also offers an artistic, entertaining and poetic journey with the works of the greatest creative minds of the last few years.
