Andy Guhl (artist, musician, architect) and Norbert Möslang (visual artist, electronics hacker, musician) met in 1972, and played European Improvisation, Möslang with woodwind instruments, Guhl with the double bass. In parallel, the Swiss Möslang & Guhl experimented with everything electronic that they found in their kitchens. Ten years later, in 1983, they decided to use only 'cracked' everyday electronic items. The first 'cracked electronics' concert took place  in 1984, and a live-recording exists on the Voice Crack LP, a name they adopted for themselves. The duo collaborated with a number of other musicians, such as Günter Müller, Otomo Yoshihide, Lionel Marchetti, Jérôme Noetinger, Tom Cora or Butch Morris.
