Andreas R. Koehler

Andreas R. Köhler (DE) is a Ph.D. researcher at the ‘Design for Sustainability’ section at the Technical University Delft.

Andreas R. Köhler holds a Diploma degree in environmental engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Zittau, Germany and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University, Sweden. Between 2001 and 2007 he worked as a research fellow at the Technology and Society Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Materials Test- ing and Research (EMPA). During this period he was working in environmental risk assessment and innovation and technology analysis of emerging technologies, such as pervasive computing, RFID, and nanotechnology. In 2009 he joined the Design for Sustainability program at TU Delft (The Netherlands) as a Ph.D candidate. His research focuses at environmental assessment of smart textiles aiming at developing new strategies for eco-design of this novel sector of technology.
