Benjamin Newland (UK) is a researcher-designer specializing in experiential, interaction, and audio design.

Ben Newland’s work uses technology, engineering and design to create new opportunities for creative expression, social identity and immersive experience. From a marching band of portable speakers that create new ways of performing electronic music, to digital instruments that allow people to create music from the colours in their environment, his work draws together disparate threads of research to make tools and facilitators for people to play with their relationship to their social and physical environment. He has just graduated from the Royal College of Art, before which he was a design and creativity consultant.
