Lieven van Speybroeck

With a background in graphic design and typography, Lieven Van Speybroeck is driven by a desire to question the self-evidences of the ways in which we engage with text. Central to his work is an exploration of the mutual translation between spoken and visual language and the experimentation with interfaces that facilitate this relationship. His projects are often reminiscent of the interplay between the sterile, volatile environment of the computer screen and the tactile, quasi-permanent space of print.

Lieven van Speybroeck is presenting his project Word in Process at Exception Handling, the Piet Zwart graduation exhibition at V2_ from July 6 to July 15 2012.
