Divide

DIVIDE is a visual exploration of the multiple narratives around Right to Internet Access and the Digital Divide. The artist worked with the activists to verbalise different discourses into a set of descriptive sentences. Photographs from the affected districts are run - against the descriptive scenarios - in a machine-learning text-to-image algorithm to envision how those realities are visually described by the AI. The artwork is a set of lenticular prints that reveal different narratives depending on the angle that are viewed from.
