Tesseract Egregore

Tesseract Egregore (2019) is a film and light sculpture developed during a Summer Sessions residency at V2_ by Alexander Weir.

Tesseract Egregore, a film and light sculpture, is a meditation on the secret principles and patterns that drive Being: accumulation, networks, recursion, emergence, sacrificial exchange… the human soul as a texture of reflections and projections superimposed by memory… and a glimpse into our future children’s minds as they assimilate into one cybernetic superorganism.

The work urges the viewer to scale their awareness up to the level of global swarm intelligences. The world is far more comprehensible once you see yourself as a cell or gut bacterium participating in Technocapital’s metabiological digestion of the planet.
