A Crash Course in Art & Media Technology

A series of four events examining the intersection of art, technology, science and society.

Are you unfamiliar with the field of media art but interested in media technologies’ impact on society? Are you a student or young professional working in art, media design or engineering who’s interested in how those fields cross? This crash course is for you.

As society is increasingly shaped by media technologies, it needs more people to actively join the public debate around those technologies. Art has the potential to invite a wider audience into that debate. For this reason, the media art pioneer V2_Lab for the Unstable Media is presenting the second season of its Crash Course in Art & Media Technology. This series of public events will provide a comprehensive overview of four contemporary topics relevant to art, technology, science and society: augmented reality, artificial intelligence, smart fashion, and biotechnology. V2_ team members, experts in the various areas, and contemporary artists working in these fields will break each topic down for you in a way that makes it understandable and accessible to everyone and show you its history, present and possible future.
