A Crash Course in Art & Media Technology - Exploring the Impact of Media Art on the Performing Arts

An annual series of events specifically curated to introduce the exciting crossover domain between art, technology, science, and society to those not yet familiar with it. This year, the Crash Course in Art & Media Technology will focus on media art's relation to music, dance, theater, and performance art.

Are you unfamiliar with the field of media art but interested in the impact of media technologies on society? Are you a student or young professional working in art, design, dance, theater, music or engineering and curious about how these fields cross? Then this crash course is for you.

As society is increasingly shaped by media technologies, it requires more people to actively join the public debate around those technologies. Art has the potential to invite a wider audience into that debate and feed it with new perspectives. For this reason, V2_Lab for the Unstable Media holds a yearly Crash Course in Art & Media Technology. In this fourth season of the course, we turn our focus to the crossover between Media Art and the performing arts. In four connected episodes, we will cover the impact that Media Art has on dance, theater, music, and performance art.
