location: V2_Institute for the Unstable Media Eendrachtsstraat 10, Rotterdam

Digital craftsmen are makers before everything else: they get their hands dirty, burn their fingers with soldering irons, test and tweak computer-aided tools, and appropriate whatever is at their disposal.

And what do they make? They make objects to inspire and make us wonder and reflect on our relationship with craft in times of electronic, digital, and networked media.

21 students representing 9 different departments who came together in the first ever Digital Craft minor at the Willem de Kooning Academy present their work at the two-day Digital Crafts exhibition.

The public is invited to witness their progress and engage with emerging practices in craft and technology.
