Synergy was the title of a collaborative workshop in the first half of 2001.
The Rotterdam Production house (V2_Lab and the Rotterdam City Theater), the Faculty of Art, Media and Technology of the Utrecht School of the Arts, Delft Technical University and the Dance group Krisztina de Châtel, initiated a two month research laboratory for interdisciplinary arts.
This laboratory was a multidisciplinary project, where media art, machine art, dance, choreography, electronic music and technology met. It dealt with a synergetic mix of several media and the expansion of the limitations of each discipline. The participants worked on the production of an interactive unconventional performance piece to be performed in the Rotterdam city theater.
Synergie was a co-operation between composers,
dansers, choreographers and fine artist presented by Hogeschool voor de
Kunsten Utrecht, Faculteit Kint, Media & Technologie, Dans Group
Kristina de Châtel and Rotterdams Productiehuis (Rotterdamse Schouwburg
& V2_Lab International Lab for the Unstable Media Rotterdam). The
experiment resulted in four small multimedia projects with the titels
Super Eva, Objectworx, Pull@net and Chemical Wedding. The project was
performed at Ludwig Forum, Aachen, Rotterdamse Schouwburg and at
Frascati, Amsterdam.
