Remembering Valerie Lamontagne
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Valérie Lamontagne on the morning of 4 October.
Valérie joined V2_ in the spring and summer of 2011 to conduct part of her PhD-research, which was centered around creative practices of wearable technology.
Besides the development of her Performative Wearables she concluded her research at V2_ by curating the memorable Test_Lab: Clothing Without Cloth. Her PhD-thesis can be found at https://spectrum.library.concordia.ca/982473/.
Valérie brought great enthusiasm for her subject and many moments of joy at V2_, within as well as outside of the Lab. She has been part of the V2_ family ever since.
Valérie will forever be in our hearts and we send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
